I asked for a merlot wine and they did not have any. We tasted their own wine,one was drinkable but insipid the other was like vinegar.I ordered steak and chips, the steak was small and 30% gristle. Why would you not serve salad with steak and chips? To save pennies! They tried to overcharge me and there was no apology.I felt ripped off.
An exquisite winery/cafe in the heart of Dromana! The view of the vineyard at this winery is absolutely breathtaking, and the 'Trofeo Estate' cafe is sensational also. From their 'platters to share' consisting of blue vein cheese, smoked proscuitto and white anchovies, to their main meal consisting of cooked chicken on a bed of Israeli cous cous, the restaurant leaves you feeling very satisfied. In terms of their wine, their 'Trofeo Estate' pinot noir and chardonnay are exceptionally palatable, and I always leave the winery with a couple of bottles for our wine cellar at home!
