Trovatino Cafe
Whilst Trovatino Cafe began its life as a fruit and vegetable store, it has now expanded into one of the most popular cafés within the inner west. This family operated spot serves Italian-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dessert. You can also grab a quick coffee. The pastas and salads are favourites amongst patrons. Meanwhile, for dessert you will be spoilt for choice, with homemade pastries, tiramisus and gelatos on the menu. Treat yourself.

I've been a local and a regular customer of Travatino for years. Yesterday I went in as per usual to buy my two take away coffees for my husband and I and when I gave my order and presented my card for tapping, the male staff member serving me asked me if I had cash. I said no, and that I always tap and go for my two coffees and why was he suddenly asking for cash. He and another staff member advised that they have a limit of $10 for tap and go. I was told that I could go up to the newsagency and use their eftpos machine which would have cost me a fee of $2.50 for the transaction, yet it only would have cost them only a very small merchant fee for the transaction. Everywhere else seems to have accepted that this is a business expense and rather than allienating their customers, they seem to accept that this is now 2018 and people don't carry cash around anymore. It's a pity that they would rather loose a regular customer than just accept the small merchant fee to ...read more
So disappointed.
I have never been so disappointed in something as simple as cannoli, I ordered 12 chocolate & 12 ricotta cannoli for my daughters birthday, in 31 years of buying cannoli never ever have I had to serve my guests discussing soft shell cannoli. I was absolutely mortified & embarrassed to serve my guests such terrible cannoli. I rang the next day spoke to a lady who said she would speak to the owner & someone would call me back, still waiting for that call! $3.50 each for old stale, soft cannoli my advise go elsewhere.
Commanding a corner position on the Wareemba shopping strip, Trovatino is always busy, particularly with families. Not so surprising given the many outdoor tables offer easy stroller parking, and availability of high chairs.
Service is friendly but haphazard as the various floor staff try to keep up with the throng of customers. Enjoyed our coffee and pastries.
