I can’t really say that this pub was particularly great. That probably has something to do with the location being a little outside of the main tourist strip, though that can be good at times meaning that it isn’t being swarmed over by people. However, I can’t really say that I particularly enjoyed the place, and there wasn’t really a huge selection when it came to beer. On the bright side though, I did find that the service was actually pretty good so I’ll give it some credit for that.
Had lunch at the Tugun Tavern, I ordered a steak and for my wife a chicken dish. Not sure what I received, but it definitely was not rib fillet or cooked medium. Wife's chicken dish was very dry. Also ordered a schooner which was advertised as $7.50 and a lemon lime and bitters. Judged on the change I received that lemon lime and bitters cost $8.50! Staff seemed very uninterested.
On a positive note the chips and salad were quite good, the beer was cold and there was plenty of sport on.
