I had a property inspected in Townsville, prier to flying in from darwin to view the property. The report came back saying that the property was in average condition for its age with minor defects. When I arrived in Townsville I viewed the property and found that in my opinion the property did have minor defects but not all were listed in the report and it was in a much poorer condition then stated in the report that I payed $400 for. I contacted the management to try to get a refund or a credit but was told that the report was done to Australian standards and that I wouldn't be getting a refund or credit. In my opinion the inspection services provided are quite poor and I won't be using them again. I don't recommend anyone use this company.
Upon receiving a complaint from the client the manager of Twin Cities Building & Pest Inspections attended the property to address the clients concerns.
After reviewing the property and the pre-purchase building & pest inspection reports the manager believed the property to be approximately 30 years of age with minor defects and its condition to be what is expected of a property of its age. The report stated this and was supported with photos of all indicated age related deterioration. The manager found the reports to have been carried out in accordance with the Australian standards which is to report on structural and significant defects. He also found the reports to be a true and accurate assessment on the condition of the property on the day of inspection.
The client has since requested our services once again on another property he purchased.
