Love the renovations and new menu, the chef is brilliant, thanks for a great night!

I had my 30th birthday at the Twisted Vine in May 2013. It was a fantastic night and it was all due to John and his fantastic staff.

John went out of his way (literally) to help us with every aspect of our function; example: we drank them out of a couple of types of beer and we requested more of that same type. So John literally went to the bottle shop to get some more for us, and continued charging us the same price as before. Now that is service!

Beautiful place, good service, but if you are thinking about organising an event you make sure you arrange a contract with what has been offered to you. Because our last experience with my 50th birthday party did turn out to be one of those parties where everybody had to stop in Mc Donalds for a fill up, due to a shortage of food for what we had paid.

Lovely atmosphere with an open fire within the heritage-style interior but the menu is also quite heritage laden with food items stuck in the 90s. The service was great, especially considering there was one waitress looking after all the tables and the bar.
The food was average - quite gluggy and the "risotto" was more like rice cooked in chicken stock.
It is not a child-friendly venue with a very quiet interior and a garden that leads directly onto the busy main road.
