we had 3 meals the corn fritters with rocket and 2 poached eggs, which was OK. also the chicken thai salad with vermiceli noodles- quite tasty with cabbage. the soup of the day was $13 minestrone. we also had the smoked salmon with hollandaise on sourdough with 2 poached eggs with was Ok. all our meals were $15-18.
bonsoy available and coffees very good. prana chai lattes in turkish pot also great $5. We had the regular menu item corn fritters with haloumi, tomato sauce, side salad and 2 p/eggs (eggs perfectly poached but tomato sauce taste does not go with the dish and ruins it otherwise it is pretty tasty $16). small café so not that noisy lots of ready made items in cabinet such as chick/avo baguettes and cakes such as lemon tarts and pumpkin and feta tarts. Fresh juices, smoothies $7 and above. Prompt and friendly service and food arrived quickly, use seeded bread . Keen to do your coffee the way you like it
dined on a busy saturday, chose the chicken, bean and vegie soup off the specials board - I expected it to be clear soup as this type of soup usually is, but it was a pureed soup (so a mucky brown color and you could not really taste the individual ingredients) but it was nice enough, just would have been better as a clear soup with pieces of beans, vegies and chicken. they do a great chai prana tea in a turkish pot. staff are apologetic when there is a hold up as they are very busy.
soup of the day this visit was chicken, cauliflower and leek (pureed) bit exepnsive at $13. also had spag bol on specials board, bit boring. we had the chargrilled pork belly with steamed rice, fried egg and salad $17 whcih was OK. small cafe. pistachio and raspberry teacake was nice and different.
