After spending over $700 dollars to service and fix my car, it came out worse then when it went in. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Mechanic was swearing and very unprofessional. Big waste of money.

TyrePower Lindisfarne - caution with services!
Late last year I had the misfortune of getting a service at TyrePower Lindisfarne. The mechanics didn't replace the oil sump cap properly, leading to ALL of the oil leaking out and the engine seizing up. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere, requiring a tow back and a $90 taxi fare. My car had been running perfectly up until then. The second-hand replacement motor was not good enough. It ran poorly, idled rough and there were problems with the transmission interacting with this crumby old 2nd-hand motor (where it came from, who knows?). I took the car back FIVE times within a few weeks, and the issue was never resolved. In the end I traded up, being lumped with a bill for a general inspection report that Servie Tasmania require when there is a new engine number. I'm seeking compensation for the cost ...read more
