IF YOUR THINKING OF HIRING FROM UHAUL ONLY DO SO IF YOUR DESPERATE
The Ute I hired broke down with my 2 kids in it with time still left on hire, I rang to report it and received no assistance whatsoever, I had to pay my own taxi bill back to where I hired it from, they didn't even offer Reimbursement or another Ute hire, they told me my only my only option was to rehire and pay another deposit at my expense by TANIA WHO SHOWED THE COMPASSION & CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS OF A PURARA, did not offer anything, the Ute loaded left high and dry untill the next day where I had to chase them up only to find out I have to wait for up to 7 to 10 working days for deposit, the only call I got was from Tania 24hrs later was to say they'd refund the hrs left on the hire, my god, where is yr customer service skills women? Hi Wez, We require payment in advance for hiring our utes, and during your hire period you were in breach of your contract on a continuous basis. Pre-authorisations are governed by the Banks on when funds are released and is not determined by U-Haul Australia.

Being in breach during your hire contract was taken into consideration when we offered you a replacement ute, as we did sympathise of your situation and were willing to assist you and your children.

Breach! u make it sound so dramatic u breach yr policies every day, it says in there 5days for deposits yet u take 10days to release them, actully 11 days now, it was Covid times and unable to bank as banks shut at 1pm fridays, for such an established company you'd think you would be able to pay cash at a point of hire, u should get up with the times maybe u wouldn't have to wait till Monday for payment.

where it mentions "generally with in 10 business day but sometimes this takes longer" at clause 4 (a). We hope this clarifies this for you.

Truly one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. U-Haul called me a day before my move to let me know that my large furniture trailer wouldn't be available which I had booked 2 weeks prior and that I could use a horse float to move all my furniture. After arguing with them on the phone they said I could drive to a different location and pick up a small trailer and they would provide compensation for the change...they refunded me $8 which was apparently the difference between the trailers. When I raised the extra distance they forced me to travel and the fact I had to organise alternate transport for most my furniture the complaints department couldn't have given a stuff. Rude service, no apology, would never use again.
