Udder Delights Cheese Cellar
Udder Delights cheese factory has earned an enviable reputation for their handcrafted goat and cow milk cheeses since first opening in 1999. More recently the Udder Delights Cheese Cellar has opened in the main street of Hahndorf. Visitors are able to visit and learn more about cheese by participating in free cheese tastings, pre booked group cheese and wine tastings, pre booked Easy Cheesey Home Cheesemaking Class and the Adelaide Hills Cheese and Wine Trail. The Udder Delights Cheese Cellar also houses a licensed cafe serving all day breakfast and lunch, with an emphasis on cheese and regional produce. The coffee is divine, and our locally handmade cakes are exquisite. For more detailed information please refer to our website.

Brieth in and enjoy the taste of their cheese. You'll hardly be able to camembert not buying more. It's creamy, you won't be blue. Though to be honest what might disappoint is that their prices are more 'mature' than others (read: more expensive), but it is great cheese. As others have said, plenty of tastings available too to help decide. Go if you dare(y).
Had lunch at Udder delights, Sat on the balcony and had one of their lunch baskets and it was great. Plenty to eat, fresh and delicious. Followed by coffee and cake. Really great place to sit and relax after having a walk up the quaint street of Hahndorf. Staff were wonderful, quite busy with the cheese tasting. Can highly recommend for lunch or a snack. Their cheeses and good selection of food stuff makes it hard to decide what to buy = dips, crackers, meats, cakes, etc.
I've been battling a cheese craving for a number of days now so I was really hopeful of this cheese shop. They offer free cheese tastings so I was keen to try and buy.
My husband and I walked in, only to be ignored while they attended to two other couples who walked in after us. They did a cheese tasting and left, the girls behind the counter turned back around and continued ignoring us.
We browsed a little bit and when a couple of friends walked in to join us, we were asked if we wanted to try some cheese. We tasted some locally sourced cheeses, all of which were good but quite mild and not what I was after. They sell their own cheese crackers which were yummy and a caramelised onion dip which was divine but not practical to take back home to Sydney.
Overall a great place for locally sourced produce but the staff need a bit of an attitude check. It's not just about what is said but how it's said.
