I have been a customer of Ultimate Hairworks snd Beauty for 20 years and couldn't be happier with all the hair and beauty services they provide. Fabulous with younger kids as well. I highly recommend giving them a try - you don't be disappointed!

Just had my hair done here and couldn't be happier. My hair can be tricky to color but the team did a fantastic job and the cut was perfect. Definitely coming back.

I have been a regular customer since I moved into the area 8 years ago. I have had my hair style changed over the years, which included my ideas and those of Claude the business owner. I rarely wait more than 5-minutes for my turn. I get my hair washed and cut and leave with it wet because I prefer to mess around with the hair products and styling at home. Friends tell me what they have paid for hairdressing services around town - this Burwood East salon is really keenly priced and there has only been a modest increase in fees over the years. Claude is great to talk to and his direct, no nonsense storytelling can be hysterical. Parking at the Burwood Heights shopping centre is a breeze. If you want high fashion cuts and trendy styling go to Camberwell or South Yarra - but be prepared to pay $150 - $350 for cut, colour and conditioning. You will search for metered parking and may have to run to feed the ticket machine looking glam [not] in your foils and charming plastic cape.

I used to go here for about 2 1/2 years and I thought they were great.......until I wanted my hair gradually lightened from dyed to my natural colour. Apparently this was a total mystery to them and instead of using foils, like every other hair dresser recommended, they used a skull cap and bleached the top of my head. I had long hair at the time and I looked totally ridiculous with long dark hair and a blonde patch covering my crown. The skull cap was incredibly painful and I had to visit a different salon a day later to try and have it fixed. They were totally shocked that a skull cap had been used on such long hair (they are usually reserved for very short hair only). I was visibly upset, as I was starting a new job that week, and looked awful! They did not offer to fix their mistake and were rude about payment. They are nice when it goes their way only!

I would have given zero stars if I could have. Absolutely worst haircut and customer service I have ever received in my life was from here. I was actually in tears. The management absolutely butchered my hair. It will take years to grow back. They completely rushed the job and rushed me out the door without drying my hair at all. My hair was soaking wet and said "either you can pay extra for me to blow dry it or here's a towel for you to dry it yourself". I was shocked and left as I don't like to cause a fuss.
When I went home and dried it, I was shocked at how horrible it looked. I now have something resembling a mullet. I went back to complain they were horribly rude and basically told me to get out. I've never had such shocking service in my life. My hair is beyond recognition.
