Unhelpful, rude and charged for work that didn't need to be done.
I went in for service and rego inspection. Service highlighted a warning light that they 'didn't have time to fix' but still charged for rego inspection knowing it would fail for light.
$400 for oil change in the end. Waste of time.
I would like to inform you at all regos pass or fail need to be paid for after inspections. I find it had to believe that they were rude as they are one of the only workshops that take time to explain any situation and are always very helpful. If they had no time to fix it why did you not rebook and then you would have realised how helpful and knowledgable they are
I've been dealing with Ultra Tune at Hornsby for at least 10 years on and off. You know when you're buying a used car and you read advice like "have it checked by a mechanic you trust", and you think, "I wish I actually knew a car shop mechanic that I trust, or I wash my brother in law was a mechanic!"... well you can actually trust Hornsby Ultra Tune in this way. I've dealt with 2 of its owners - Bruce and Vince (the current owner). Both of them are incredibly trustworthy and straightforward. Vince calls to confirm appointments, lets you know the honest likely cost of repairs, gives you updates, and makes easy arrangements to pick the car up if you work later, like me. In the 15+ times I've had my car serviced here, I've NEVER been ripped off, never lied to, always given straightforward advice even though I don't know much about cars (they have never taken advantage of that fact).... and I think the reason is that the owner Vince (and previous owner Bruce) are simply ...read more
