Union Hotel

It has been ages since I came here after work, so an old workmate and I decided to catch up like old times and come here to the Union Hotel for a Pizza. We were suprized to see they were still doing the cheap pizza deals during certain nights of the week. We came here on Tuesday and the Pizza’s were $10 each - $2 more from what it was 2 years ago but it was still a bargain! AND – they still were delicious! Love the base and their toppings!

For some reason I have always had a liking for this pub. Maybe it was because when I was much younger I came here and had a really good time, but what actually happen has been lost in the mists of the past. However that feeling about this place has not changed, and even with my most recent visit I still quite like the place. This is also one of those pubs that I have frequented on many occasions, whether it be for a couple of drinks with friends, or for lunch with my work colleagues, it has always been a pleasant place to while away the time. There was even a time I would stop by here on the way home (despite it being a little out of my way) to have a beer and sit out the back with book (though I must say that there are better beer gardens, but then again they are making the best of what space they have available.

Really good deal with their pizza specials - especially coming in on a Monday or Tuesday, you cant go wrong with a deliciously made pizza for 6 or 8 bucks!!

Had dinner with a couple girlfriends and we decided to share two pizzas and the antipasto platter. So filling! We had to take the left over pizza home. The pizza bases were great, the flavors we chose weren't as nice as we thought they would be though. Had a good night for a weeknight at least.

Had lunch here today for the first time, sat outside in the little outdoor dining area they had at the back. Wasn't table service, but that was ok, service in general was quick and friendly. My friend and I both ordered the Wagyu Beef Schnitzel, it was huge! 300g. I did what I could but was so full. It was pretty good and the price wasn't bad either!
