Universal Bar

I'm not sure there is all that much that I can say about this place other than that it is a sports bar, and not a particularly great one at that. Sure, they have a number of screens, as well a reasonable selection of beers, but like a lot of these places it is rather noisey, and really doesn't grab my attention. Sure, it is a great place to watch that game you want to watch, but even then there are much better sports bars in the area in which you can do that. I probably would give this place a miss.

So where to go in Perth on a Wednesday night? Universal of course. This was the advice of a local cabby after spending a few hours draining my wallet at the casino - my work mate was clearly in the mood to experience more of Perth and dragged me across town to Universal - its a fun place and very friendly. We weren't there 5 minutes before some locals started chatting to us and telling us about their town. The drinks aren't cheap but the service is good and the music ideal for a laid back Wednesday night. Worth a visit.

Upmarket classy crowd, fantastic entertainment and staff are top notch!

Nice spot to go in Northbridge, good vibe and classy crowd. Service is always quite fast and the bar staff can make a great caprioska.
