Rude, disinterested, slack…take your pick. Having worked as an admin in the tradie industry years ago, was mortified at the service Update offered my family. We since have found another business who are doing a fantastic job and I will leave appropriate feedback for them. Update need to update their customer service approach badly.

Hi Ben, I appreciate the reply - Update didn't work with me, they interacted with a family member. When my family member was told "this is not worth my time" and walked out on a quote before my family member had the time to finish explaining what the work is, that is perplexing. The job has since gone to another service man and worth $2500+, and he now will get first preference for another job worth a similar amount in our home. I worked for a plumbing company for years, there are ways to go about customer service and walking out on a customer who had adjusted work schedule to be home for a quote is not one of those ways.
they told me onething and did another, work was not finished off they tiled around one window and not the other YUK when i asked about this his said we did not talk about it why would i want one done and not the other, the gap between the tiles and the ceiling was left i have to fill that benny was going to fix it kerry told him not to they had my money they just wanted to get out of there.
All I can suggest is avoid this company like the plague!! Took our deposit early this year ($1000) and apart from a couple of excuses why they hadn't been around to measure up and give a start date, we heard nothing more from them. We rang, emailed, texted over and over but with no response and no bathroom and out of pocket $1000! So I complained to Dept Fair Trading and they rang me to say that Update are willing to give back deposit if we give them our bank account details -which we did, and guess what.....NOTHING. Shonky as shonky. Don't ever deal with them you'll regret it and we now know to ring the Dept Fair trading to check a company beforehand. Kerry has quite a few marks against his name so just don't do it. It's not worth it.
The same also happened to me however Kerry refused to refund the $1000 deposit despite going to fair trading
