In 1986 my friend and I started a small beauty salon and at the end of the year our accountant told us we'd owe close to $1,000 in tax - a lot of money then to us. As we'd just broken even in the first year this seemed wrong and we were recommended to Duselis & Co. They redid our books and we ended up owing nothing.
Since then I've had three businesses - 2 beauty salons & a catering business - and Duselis has looked after me all that time. They speak plain English, they are friendly and helpful and they have saved me heaps. I strongly recommend them if you run a small business or have an SMSF.
I shouldn't be gobsmacked after more than 30 years as a client of Duselis and Co but when they told me today I'd be getting more than $2,000 back on my personal tax plus a GST refund, I was a bit taken back. I know they've saved me many tens of thousands of dollars over the years but this year I really expected to have to pay more tax and GST (I run a small business), not get some back. They were really down to earth. Gave sound advice without the usual mumbo jumbo and spin. Working out of the small fibro, you wouldn't think the quality is there, but the lack of glitz makes up for the quality work. They said they've operating for more than 20 years and the experience really does show. I will be definitely coming back next year!
