My son an husband arrived 6.45pm. Son in some distress and they were told "next available doctor". Husband assumed this would mean they would see a doctor pretty soon. Ha! They have now been waiting 2 and a half hours and counting. Lucky to be seen before closing. Why is it so impossible to give a wait time? Surely number of waiting patients times 15 min divided by number of doctors would give an estimated mimimim wait? How can you be so uncaring as to think it doesn't matter? My son has been sitting their hungry and in pain for nearly three hours! You should be ashamed.
Received appalling service by a Dr here this week. When told my medical problem I was stared at blankly and told "Well I don't know" and later on told "Well I'm not sure". He did not care about me and my problem at all. I was made to feel like a complete idiot and left with no treatment, plan, medication or prescription. Truly disgusting treatment by a member of the so-called Medical profession. Simply go elsewhere!!
Find a GP elsewhere as booking an appointment means nothing here. You will wait for 2 hours even if you have an appointment.
Have been here 4 times and have waited for more than 2 hours every time.
Like everywhere else - at least one hours wait ?! I'd say that's standard ?!
I attended the Vale Medical Practice last weekend. I had to wait over two hours to see the doctor. This practice is not really setup to be a medical centre. They only have one doctor on duty on the weekend and I had a few people come in while I was there and obtain priority treatment, these people probably should have gone to the emergency room at the local hospital. With only one doctor on duty it means you have to wait for as long as it takes. I was also very disappointed that they did not have a pharmacy open on site, the one there was closed and I had to go elsewhere which also added a considerable amount of time to what should have been a relatively quick visit.
I apologies for your long wait and although I understand your frustration, our Medical Deputising Service, which operates after hours is a new service and it is still early days. We are going to be getting more doctors and nursing staff and are negotiating with the pharmacy to stay open later. I thank you for your feedback and would like you to be assured that we are always striving to make improvements.
