I've been to Valentina three times, however most recently after change of ownership (I think) we waited 20 mins and were not served (or even approached), so we just left and went elsewhere. Medium level of customers at the time, by no means hectic. To be clear, I'm very particular about service, so this was very disappointing to me.
Aside from that - the food and coffee were quite good when we visited previously and their outdoor decor makes it a lovely place to eat (if you are served).
Visited Valentina this morning for breakfast - we were happy to discover it was open on Good Friday. We ordered coffees and breakfast at the counter and took our seats. Coffees may have taken a little long to come out but maybe I was just keen to get my first caffiene hit of the day. My almond milk coffee was nice and smooth, so it was worth the wait.
Food came out not long after, other half's big breakfast was massive, and he couldn't finish it. The eggs were silky and well scrambled, surprisingly hard to find sometimes! the bacon had nice colouring. I added his haloumi and tomato to my avocado on house made pumpkin bread.
The pumpkin bread was pretty tasty, but maybe a bit on the sweet side for my liking, and the feta was just cubes plonked on top of the avo, rather than being crumbled over it as I'd imagined.
Apart from these couple of nit picky things, our breakfast was really quite good and I'd go back.
Cafe is also dog friendly which is a bonus!
Came here for morning tea recently. The coffee was great and I'll definitely be returning for that reason. We had a muffin which was also quite good. The other food on offer sounded pretty good but we didn't try anything else on this occasion. Unfortunately, the service started out a bit slow, despite having ample staff, and then later on one staff member started taking our plates before we were even finished! The toilet also opens up right into the inside seating area, however the cafe is expanding so maybe this will be changed as part of the renovations. Overall, quite a good cafe with very well made coffee. Will be back.
Sweet little cafe located in Mitchelton, Brisbane. I popped in for lunch with some friends and just fell in love with the red chairs and cute white picket fence out the front. The food and service was great. Beef burgers, pulled pork rolls and salads from $10-$15. I ordered an organic ginger beer with the pulled pork roll and it was really good. Definitely worth popping in if you're in the area!
