I have to say firstly I cannot fault the staff at Valentino's. They were fantastic, very attentive and friendly.
The food on the other hand was average. Better than than some other restaurants but no where near the others. Which was fine as I wasn't expecting that level of quality.
The prices were ridiculous. 2 pastas (that could have come with sauces from a jar) a garlic bread and 2 glasses of standard wine came to $70 which I wouldn't mind paying in the orher restraurant. Or had the pastas been fresh and tasty. I guess what topped it off for me was getting the canned, style Parmesan on top of my meal...
Not cheap and not good.
Coming from Melbourne where even food court food is of a certain standard, I was very disappointed in the meals we got for $133. Firstly the BBQ octopus had been microwaved. Secondly the veal scallopine looked like it was cut with a salami slicer forcing the cook to overcook it. This place would not survive in melbourne.
