I too have had the same issue as @homemum. This is the closest pharmacy to my small business and I have often called in to get those necessaries to get through the day when feeling under the weather. I had an awful earache on one occassion and was advised by them that they could not give me anything to help with the pain and to go straight to the doctor. Two hours later and losing valuable time at work, the doctor told me all I needed was some plain old Panadol. I really felt disappointed on the pharmacists advice, though I understand they need to be cautious though I feel the best advice was not given to me. I avoid this pharmacy where possible.
I was extremely disappointed by the service that I received at this Pharmacy. I made the unfortunate mistake of asking for cold and flu tablets (day and night) and was treated like a criminal. I completely understand laws but when you are dealing with customers, a simple explanation would suffice opposed to "I'll check with the pharmacist and I'll need your licence". I felt completely discriminated against and humiliated. If you can avoid going here, you should. Its such a shame because I've always felt it important to support local businesses but I will never set foot inside Valewood pharmacy again
