Trying to feed a vegan, a fussy eater, the burger lovers and pizza fans can be tough, so we were delighted to find this place. We asked for a little extra tomato on a burger, a different sauce on another, and one kid had some drink in a big bottle from elsewhere with him and they said he could drink it there and even brought him a cup. Not a fancy place, just polite staff and simple yummy takeaway fare. And a nice simple tasty veggie burger too. Thanks for being so accommodating, guys.
The location looked inviting, a courtyard away from the street, umbrellas, quite a few people eating, usually a good sign.
Things started to fall apart when we walked inside to order (about 9:30AM Sunday): the staff taking our order looked like had just got out of bed, sleepy eyes hair not brushed. It got a bit brighter when staff offered mushrooms instead of the bacon we didn't want. Then the 'food' arrived. Soggy, partly toasted ' Home Brand' wafer thin sliced white bread, and no condiments, we had to go back and ask for those. The pepper & salt arrived, almost empty, dirty shakers and the tomato sauce had fomented into a bubbly red concoction. Now, I expect to pay $15 for a "big breakfast" in a tourist town, but not without (or is it with?) the 'extras' mentioned.
Until this family run joint learns the basics of cleanliness, quality and value, I'll not be going back.
