Slack, careless and sloppy workmanship, a total waste of money and time! The 2 weeks old driveway is already cracked all over, the rainwater from the footpath is channeled towards the house and I found a couple of big holes in the concrete fit for animals to hide and future cracks to appear. Van is chasing new quotes all the time and doesnt supervise the work on hand so the workers do whatever they want. Van does one thing all right and that is convincingly promises with a dose of stutter for good measure. Unfortunately he does not remember the agreements, the notes are left at home and nobody in his team can follow any directives. When I needed to speak with him he could only be contacted via a third person passing messages back and forth. The workers were more concerned whether I was present and watching then with doing their work properly. Just run across your post today. We have been going for about a year or so now with our outdoor patio colored concrete the surface is like power and wearing off to rocks. I am just filling in Form 1 for the QCAT how are you going so far??
We experienced the same slack workmanship however dusting and cracking are now our problems. We had the concrete company come out and told him that it was caused by him putting too much water in the mix and inexperienced labour, he agreed to fix the problem and that was that last we saw and heard of him. I suggest that if you want a good job DON'T get Van as his honesty is at the same level of his workmanship.
