When Vanbar had a branch in Sydney I bought some serious SLRs and lenses from them. My recent experience was very disappointing. I purchased a scanner online in December 2015 for over $550. I knew it wasn't a current model (although website had vague description and no photo) but I wasn't counting on the oldest of many models suitable only for Windows 98! It didn't even have a USB connector! This thing should have been junked over a decade ago. It had obviously been opened and sent back by other customers smarter than me. I have had to scour the world for adaptors , adaptors for adaptors, and additional drivers and software because it works with no currently made computer, which has cost me dozens of hours and over $400, and then to find that it works (and only ever will) on one of my several computers (an old Widows 7 32 Bit).
