With fresh toppings and delicious bases, you will find it difficult to find such great tasting pizzas anywhere else. Vatican Pizza Restaurant is the sort of restaurant and bar that locals continue to rave about even after leaving the area.
With over forty years experience, these people know their stuff. The pizzas are cooked in a traditional wood fired oven. Whilst Hawaiian and supreme feature on the menu, there are gourmet topping combinations such as the Greek pizza with fetta cheese. Pasta is also served.
The ambience is intimate and cosy, with wood furnishings, warm lighting and alfresco-inspired artwork on the wall. Families are welcome, and will enjoy the sweet pancakes.

Well after reading the fantastic reviews I was really looking forward to going to this place. I should've stayed home. The pizza was average at best. Base soggy, cheap ingredients, bland flavour on the chicken & prawn pizza and the lasagne looked like it had been dropped on the plate from a great height. Restaurant was freezing cold and the toilets are below average. I felt quite unwell for the remainder of the night so if you're looking for a great pizza restaurant - this is not it.
Authentic atmosphere, Anthony is the star 2nd Generation Pizza Chef, the family service tops off the flavoursome menu. Gourmet Pizza { Vatican Special or Greek} selection is a must try if you Love Pizza. Good basic wine list , but a bottle shop is just across the street. I travel 35min weekly for a taste. Or ring on your way home from work for a take out delight. Share this place with friends for a good night out.
An excellent, family restaurant near Huntingdale train station with a great atmosphere and fantastic food. The pizzas are heaped with fresh toppings. A large pizza is plenty for two people. The price might be a little higher than you would pay at one of the pizza chains, but it's definitely worth it! There is also a wide range of pasta dishes available too. We had our work Christmas party there last year and I can't recommend them highly enough. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the food and the service. Definitely recommended.
