What a delightful way to show my French exchange student that we have a part of Sydney also called Vaucluse. The feel though is colonial Australian and we went to the museum first then had a light lunch in the tea rooms. Pretty outlook and the lawns are well maintained. No BYO option but that's ok, you don't need to drink much at brunch or lunch and thus don't open for dinner. Hats off to the chef who worked there on the day of my visit, the bacon and cheddar soufflé was yum and even the French boy said the same. Merci !
Pretty poor by all accounts. My experince was let down by the service. The staff were remote, unattentive and lacked any sort of interest in working there. In summer the heat is unbearable given that the tea rooms don't have air cionditioning. Historic venues such as Vaucluse House really ought to deliver a much higher standard.
I just had my baby shower at Vaucluse house tea rooms with 28 guests. We had a fantastic time, the food was really yummy and the service was excellent! And they were very accomodating for 3 of my gluten free guests. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a fantastic day!
I ran a charity high tea from the Vaucluse House Tearooms for 10 women and the afternoon was a lovely success. The rooms themselves are lovely, service was great and the catering gorgeous. Gluten free wasn't a problem for the team and a lovely afternoon was had by all. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
