We have visited this place a number of times and it never disappointed us. We like the curry laksa from the lunch menu and for dinner, you can't go pass the salt and pepper squid (they taste like the real thing). Being a Chinese vegetarian restaurant, they do not use garlics or onions in their meals. Their pricing is reasonable and the decor and seating arrangements are much improved since their recent renovation. Please make sure you book before you turn up, they are very busy most nights. If you think vegetarian is boring, you must try this place, it might change your mind! The only down side of this place to us is that it is too far from where we live!
Having explored and enjoyed many vegetarian restaurants in recent years, I was thrilled to dine at Vegie Hut with my Local Star friend. The idea of it seemed fascinating - a vegetarian restaurant that proudly creates scrumptious mock meat meals; bringing the dream of cruelty-free dining so much closer for us carnivorous monsters whose tastebuds sing for delectable murderous meat. Though I often eat vegetarian food, Im not usually that crazy about vegetarian restaurants. The hippy and New Age ones tend to put loads of indigestible grains in everything and to regard cooking vegetables as a sin. At the Asian ones I usually end up feeling Ive paid meat prices for dough.
