Velluto

This is actually one of the coffee stands located in Southern Cross Station. While it is mainly one of those grab and go places, there are some benches nearby where you can actually sit down and drink your coffee (and they will also offer a sit down option if you chose). The prices are quite reasonable, and I have to say that I do like its location, looking over the regional train platforms. Okay, I rarely go through Southern Cross Station, however, especially in the mornings, I do make a habit of stopping off here to grab, usually, a cup of tea, but occasionally I'll grab a coffee. I quite like the place, and having seating nearby is also a bonus (which is something that is missing from Flinders Street Station – if you want to sit down you have to go across the road to Federation Square).
