Best coffees in Port Melbourne hands down. If I could move in, I would so that i can wake up to the smell of their wonderful coffee & brilliant breakfasts. Very reasonably priced compared to other cafes in the area with lovely portions.

We frequently go to The Velvet Bar for coffees as take away & to have in--seriously fantastic! I recently booked a table of 20 people for work at midday during the week, the owner recommended us to pre-order so I did that morning via email. Our time there was wonderful, all the food came out personally by our names which was lovely on time & every single person was impressed & happy with how amazing their meals were, service was impeccable, the restaurant was full while we dined there...I can't express my thanks & highly recommend The Velvet Bar for anyone that wants to organise a large group!!! Seriously just wonderful..

I have now worked in Port Melbourne for over a year and have tried most restaurants in the area, The Velvet Bar is my favourite. My work colleagues and I have our coffee everymorning which is spot on everytime, never a miss, honestly couldnt get through my day without it. The menu for both breakfast & lunch is also wonderful, I especially love the Omelletes.... Service always with a smile no matter how busy, highly recommend this place.... Great service, Great people, Great Food and Coffee makes it the cafe to be at!!!
