Everything was great until prestart. That's when things slowed to a crawl.
Nov 31st 2014 we signed the paperwork to have the contract written up. Mar 15th 2015 we had prestart. Mid Aug the slab went down. Oct 23rd, after repeated requests, we finally got confirmation of how the drainage way laid with regards to the provision for a grey water system to be installed after handover, and it was wrong. It did not match the layout that we agreed to with Ventura which apparently was on the plans that were given to the company pouring the slab. As of today, this has not been resolved; we haven't even seen a proposal as to how it could be rectified.

Beware before signing to build with Venura. We experienced substantial problems with pre-start consultant, site supervisor and maintenance department after hand-over. The house has excessive cracking to external brickwork, which they keep plastering over and keeps cracking. Siding of driveway cracked and they refused to fix (occurred within first 7months). internal tiling not laid correctly and internal plasterer didn't even plaster walls correctly. This is my second home we've built and we're surprised how badly their customer service has been.

We are so happy with our home, and the whole building process with Ventura. Our sales rep helped us incorporate what we needed in our home,

The Pre-start was great, and the free meeting with their interior designer was invaluable! We found Ventura had a far superior base specification/inclusions than other builders in the same class.

Our home was built within a brilliant timeframe, and our supervisor was amazing. Incredibly happy with the finish product, both quality and looks!

We would highly recommend this builder to anybody.

I have my first home built with Ventura and will never build with them again. poor customer services (especially Maintenance's staff). The workmanship was terrible.



1) Upon completion of the home, prior to handover, I was noticed that the kitchen tiles laid were different from what I had selected at pre-start. I signed on the dotted line with Ventura Homes back in Feb 2010, and now that the house is finished I wanted to offer my experience in building with Ventura. Firstly, the initial design of the house was very good, and the sales rep didn't mind us making some altercations to be more in line with our needs. It took a little while for them to get started - once the slab was down, it took another 11 months before we got the keys, due to a variety of factors out of anyone's hands. Moving past the time factor, we were very happy with our supervisor, the after sales support and the actual quality of the build. We negotiated well before we signed on so we're of course very happy with what we paid.



All in all I'm happy that we built with Ventura Homes.
