Vetwest Animal Hospitals

So I have the “wellness” plan with vetwest that I signed up to when my boy was 3 months he is now 1 but we also have a little girl who is 6 months. They promised me all this and that and that I’ll be assured of receiving all my revolution and tablets for him first every month then the tablets every 3 months after that once he is 6 months and every month for the revolution but I only received the revolution every time I got the tablet which was every 3 months.. theres a lady there that works there who is full on and was giving me attitude on the phone telling me I’m the one who should be making sure my furbaby gets it and I should be calling them lala. The point of the wellness was to be looked after and knowing my pet would get the best care. She is so full of herself and needs to watch her tone in her voice when she speaks to customers. Feeling very taken advantage of and ripped off! We took our little dog in as she had chewed a cycad palm seed and we we're worried about her being poisoned. This was the closest vet to our house so that's why we took her there in a rush. A young vet took a look at her and quoted $700 for fluids, and a blood test and a few pills. Our dog was released after about 5 or 6 hours, we contacted our usual, very experienced vet to continue on care and we thought we'd price out (exactly) the bill from Vet West to see what they would have charged us - there was an almost $300 difference on a $700 bill!! How is this possible? I called and spoke to Vet West thinking there must have been an error. No error, no offer of any refund... That's just their pricing. I can understand $50-$100 in variation, but near $300? Come on!

We always see Bronwyn at this clinic. She is a fantastic, no fuss vet who always gives honest straightforward advice and does not overservice. Our goldie actually loves going to see her!!

Hi i recently attended this clinic and was digusted by the attitude from a Vet. The Vet was down right rude to me. Clearly the vet needs to be reminded of what vet west is aim to provide whis is "Our team is made up of people that truly love animals, and have dedicated their working careers to veterinary medicine." I will never recommend or use the Vet that was inspecting my dog. There was no patience, even though i clearly explained to thats hes a sooky dog and gets scared and hes a PUPPY. Suggest other vet over this clinic.

This hospital is a shame! We took our very sick cat into the hospital for treatment and after being told many different things from all the staff there we were over charged, promised a refund, then denied a refund, and most of all felt as if we were in the wrong because, I quote "they saved our cat". We paid a lot of money for you to because that's your job.

I could have put up with the overcharges but when they started denying what they promised us in regards to a refund because there was an overcharging issue I drew the line there. At the moment we have filled a complain to the Department of Commerce to resolve this issue. Do NOT believe their fees and charges. Question everything, what it is, for what period of time and why so much. The try and hide extra charges in your invoice and make it look like they are doing you a favour. Take you pets for someone you trust!
