Very good dvd selection. The staff know there movies. Good mix of new and old. There's few movies I haven't been able to find here. Lots of TV shows though they don't tend to have tenet seasons but who does. I like the little horror section in the back. They also categorise movies well like having a section for Oscar winners and Aussie classics and stoner movies. The decor is something out of comicon and you feel in the mood for movies. I borrow a lot at a time. I will say though that the staff can be rude. When there is a queue of people to borrow and you just want to ask a quick question they will make u wait. They will make u look for the dvd yourself and feel like an idiot if you don't know their store off by heart. And all but one of them don't have a nice attitude. Really great selection of movies and dvds for tv shows and has some great shows. They also have some posters out the front that are hilarious.
I've always found the staff really friendly, and passionate about movies which infects customers. There is nothing better than being helped by someone that is passionate and actually cares about their job.
We used to be regulars here but the staff are rude and they don't handle customer enquiries at all. Half the DVDs we borrowed didn't work, but we were not offered a free video next time because they didn't care. They were tok busy watching movies. They just shoved it back on the shelves for the next customer to rent? They then tried to flog us for $30 on a late DVD that was supposedly an overnight, but it wasn't labelled and we picked it up in the weekly section. . When I can buy a movie cheaper from a dds or rent one from iTunes, why do I need to go to the trouble to drive to you?
I think you were at a different store, maybe the old one. As a regular I have never seen the staff watching films or being rude to customers, I see lots of customers being rude to the staff though! And they are very easy going about late fees, so think you are confused.
