On display is a slightly eclectic mix of south Asian cross-cultural cuisine served from the bain marie - okay for a quick lunch or takeaway, but nothing to write home about. Head straight for the made-to-order soups and specialty dishes instead. Lovely beef or chicken pho (noodle soup) hits the spot after a wintery morning at the Salamanca market - add some chilli to spice it up a bit or Asian BBQ sauce if you prefer a milder flavour. Ckicken and prawn rice paper cold rolls are perfect for a warm summer afternoon sitting on the grass. Vietnamese-style meat spring rolls beat the Chinese cabbagy version hands-down every time...
Not what one would call inexpensive, but we purchased take-out and returned to our favourite little spot in the garden on Salamanca Place. The food is well cooked and tasty with enough selection available ready to go in the window to keep everyone happy. Had we wished, other selections could be ordered and freshly cooked. A good selection of drinks on hand and an icecream bar for the children afterwards. Casual dine-in, or very fast take-away service. Would recommend, and certainly seemed popular amongst the locals.
