Small screens, small seats, small cinemas. this cinema was ok about 15 years ago, bit now it just feels weak compared to a more modern cinema. Gold class is good, but the rest of the cinema is very average. Unless you are seeing a blockbuster the weekend of release you will be in a small cinema with about 5 rows of seats! To be honest it just feels really worn out and tired. I think they need a reno! The only thing it has going for it is the location.
Old fashioned but looks a lot better inside than the facade, which I think must be kept looking 1880's by council heritage rules. A little old inside as well now but the cinemas are big and the screens are giant compared to today's tiny multiplexes. Parking is terrible and be warned, don't even think about parking in the neighbouring McDonalds, they will sting you big time. Arrive early as it can be crowded and ticketing can be painfully slow, it's easy to miss the start of your movie if you don;t take this into account. Gold Class is good but the footrests are operated manually rather than electrically, a bit strange but I guess it works.
The Gold Class facility is the place to go if you want to see the latest blockbuster in the ultimate luxury. Best tip is to know where you want to park beforehand (it can be a little busy at times, especially school holidays or during the day) and turn up a little early so you can enjoy the Gold Class waiting area, grab a drink and check out the menu so if you want a treat during the movie its all set up beforehand.
