I have flown to Los Angeles twice with Virgin Atlantic. My first return trip was Business Class, my second trip was Economy (there) and Premium Economy (back) so I have tried them all! The Business Class is great- full flat beds, really nice airport lounges, gourmet food, a very high level of service and very friendly staff. Premium Economy is very roomy, almost like what you would expect from Business Class with other airlines. There is only a limited amount of Premium Economy seating and a few dedicated attendants so you are well looked after. Economy is obviously the least enjoyable (but also most economical!) way to fly. Compared to other carriers I found the seats and leg room quite generous. Sitting at the back of the plane we were the last to be served dinner on the way over and so had the dud meals and no chocolate mousse.
