Hidden away on Scott Street in Pyrmont, Viva Goa is a delightful restaurant serving Goan Indian cuisine. Favourite dishes on the menu include the fish curry and chicken xacutti, both of which are specialties of the region. The cinnamon ice cream is the perfect post-dinner dessert.

Meanwhile, the ambience is bright yet homely. The sunny open plan dining area and delightful courtyard out the back give this brick exterior building a cottage-like feel.

This was a revelation - coastal Indian food with strong Portuguese influences. Love sannas the rice dumplings it's served with. Love the fiery heat.

The food is just fantastic and Gus is a great guy. He is very passionate about food and the goan culture. Also ask for fenny next time you see him.

I went here with my boyfriend on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The setting was really relaxed and the food was so delicious! The price is decent and the fact that it is BYO is very convenient!! Well worth a visit!!!

Wow! For anyone who loves curry this place can't be more highly recommended. The meat dishes are melt in your mouth delicious, the rice perfect, the breads fantastic. If I lived near by I'd be in there every night for dinner. My partner and I have even trekked visitors across the city just to go to this place for dinner.

A little out of the way, but this place has amazing Goa food, definitely try the lamb curry. Slightly pricey though for Indian food.
