Viva Mexico

From the second we walked in until the time we rolled out of here, we were made to feel so special & welcome at viva Mexico! Despite being a busy Saturday night almost at capacity somehow all the staff (from management to wait staff) make you feel like you're the only diner at their special homely eatery! The normal menu reads like it was an ode to a familiar Aussie tex mex place - but the flavours jumped off the plate. The special menu (unfortunately not available tonight) read more like a nouveau slick Mexican eatery you'd find doing a roaring trade in the city! We had an entree sampler (nachos, ribs, taquitos) & the three dip plate, followed by the super (chicken, beef & prawn) fajitas. Somehow this was enough food for 4, it could have been the margaritas that were flowing freely but somehow, we filled quick, too quick - I wanted more!

We had a lovely dinner at Viva Mexico. So many lovely things to try and such a great atmosphere, full of cheer and charm. You can order plates to share as well to try more dishes or get takeaway. It's not a fancy place just good solid dishes.

Restaurant was packed both times I went there but service was still attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and cosy. We didn't wait too long for our meals which were delicious and fresh and we were greeted by the owner who stopped for a chat both times. They happily split the bill for us at the end of our meal. Will definitely be back!
