I am a life long gardener, featured on Gardening Australia, who has collected the best old fashioned plants for Brisbane conditions. These are available for custom propagation for your site. I only charge for the time on site- these bonus plants are free. These are planted as small cuttings that quickly grow in place into sturdy plants. Additional plants can be sourced from Australia's best mail order nurseries or markets at no mark up.
I garden by deep environmental principles. A good ornamental garden should require virtually no watering, fertilizing or spraying. I select the plants that are up to these demands. Nurseries don't sell these varieties any more- why would they want to?
I also use no power tools, preferring to do everything by hand. I offer a rare hand weeding service. I also predominantly use my bicycle to get to jobs (though will occasionally drive for bigger jobs). The small plants I offer make this possible. By saving time and energy on potting, growing, transporting then planting larger plants I can make the plants free for you. I prefer to mulch a garden only once during establishment, then process prunings on site to make gardens self mulching.
I specialise also in colour themed gardens. My personal collection is arranged by these principles to extraordinary effect.
Finally I am highly experienced in producing and maintaining small and efficient back-yard herb and vegetable gardens that give real value for the time and effort invested in them. I can show you how to maintain rich soil and grow worthwhile varieties from seed using organic principles.
