Vlado's
Abiding by the definition of a steakhouse, Vlado's is just that. Serving only steaks of any cut in any form, Vlado's restaurant is the place to visit if you have a hunger for succulent charcoal grilled beef. Guests are welcomed to select the way they want their steak cooked, as chef Vlado Gregurek acts only as 'an instrument in the client's hands' to produce a smoky mouth watering delight. Open for lunch and dinner and available for bookings, Vlado's is a must visit destination.
The steak is terribly dry and moistless, so does the sausages.
Although it has a very good smell of charcoal, but I guess it overcooked.
Their service is okay, all waiters are giving pretty standard service, but I wouldnt say they are friendly (no smile on their face)
I heard some very good reviews and recommended from my friend, and I make a visit to Voldo in April 2009, but was highly disappointed.
Normally I don't often write reviews but I wrote this because for the price you pay, you should deserve better.
The steak was excellent - best steak I'd had, but for the price, it would have wanted to be. Also, we had to send it back to get cooked again when it came out, which was a drag.
Now I enjoy a nice long, leisurely meal, but not when the chairs are back-bruisingly hard... also, the restaurant was so crowded that literally half of my table had to all get up when someone wanted to go to or return from the toilet or ourside.
The meal sizes were good, dessert was good, the service was great, but there were only 2 sauces for the steak - mustard or horseradish. Not even some interesting take on tomato sauce.
Overall I'd say if you love steak, this is a must-visit, but if not, then it's not really worth it. Unless someone else is paying, of course.
Meat meat glorious meat! Definitely a restaurant for big meat eaters. Be warned though, it's just meat and no sauces are on offer (unless that has changed since I last visited quite a while ago). I thought I'd be able to order a pepper sauce but no such luck but then again it is all about the meat itself. Tender, juicy and cooked to perfection! I think there was horseradish or some kind of mustard on the table but other than that, it's just plain meat.
