Vroom Bistro
Service is pretty casual for this strip. But it's friendly and fast. At least for a late lunch. Staff were dressed in the spirit of halloween and a few small decorations represent a little staff culture.
The interior was clean, sheltered and fairly open by design, both inside and outside. Three TV's all featuring the same station, were silently broadcasting nothing to no-one while I sat there and did some work in peace. I think this place would make an ideal lunch stop, for anyone stepping back a little bit from the James street mall. Anyone seeking a potently strong Merlo coffee, served a little too hot.
The vegetarian burger was a little haloumi overkill. The coffee was bitter
The service was friendly and positive. No toilets on site, use a code down the strip.
Dropped in for lunch at this average looking cafe and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, gave my son crayons and pictures to colour in. My pulled pork sandwich was delicious. I loved the music too, jazz playing in the background. Will definitely be back.
Had a great dinner here recently, good value for money. excellent duck crepes and seafood risotto, great and friendly service, knowledgeable about their products and menu options - even altered a menu item due to my food allergy. Definitely will go back again. Top notch, well done
Walking into Vroom is very deceptive as it looks like a simple cafe so I was surprised and delighted to find the food of such a high standard. They have a $75 meal deal that includes a pizza bread, 2 mains and a bottle of wine which is exceptional value. The food was great, the service was lovely and personal & it is a great place to go and relax. Make sure you try the cheese cake, it was perfect. I have been back several times and have had a great time every time.
