Waddington's at Kergunyah

Wonderful meal, staff member very helpful.

Other staff so unhelpful god forbid you ask about the food staff will snap your head off

(Im not the chef) walked around to tables waiting for some one to give staff a reason to argue with.

And any one comming here in winter beware you have to open a paddock gate and on the day we visited it was pouring and muddy so 1 drowned rat.Then a few hundred metres drive up a muddy road to the restaurant and more mud and puddles to the entrance so ladies don't wear your going out shoes

and wear a coat as the log fire has no fan and is mighty cold inside.

Would I go again? NO

Great food, great location, great service.

I have eaten at Waddington's on a number of occasions. It is always a wonderful meal, wonderful setting and wonderful service! I am from Wangaratta, so it is a significant drive and it is worth every minute to have such a wonderful and enjoyable experience at Waddington's. I have recommended many of my friends to Waddington's and they have all enjoyed it. I was looking up the phone number to make another booking and found some unpleasant reviews. I believe everyone is entitled to their view, I must say I have eaten at Waddington's over 5 separate occasions over the years and taken friends and we all leave feeling what an amazing cosy little place. I have never been able to fault it and believe that it certainly deserves to be rated in the good food guide! The service is impeccable and the food is amazing! This my thank you for so much enjoyment you have provided to me and my friends and my family over the years!

This is the first time that I have made a bad review but when I see the comment from the management of this establishment I have to set the record straight. I just so happened to be at Waddington's at Kergunyah on that day in question. I heard the whole conversation as I was also stand near the bar and the Go Away Claim did happen!! I have worked in hospitality for many years and I have never seen such rudeness and total unsatisfactory treating of the staff. The settings is nice and the meals where in fact also nice, however the management is one that will stick in your mind for all the wrong reasons of poor service and very very poor people skills. So for the record if you want a nice meal in a nice setting go, but if you also want nice treatment I don't recommend going near the so called management.

There is no doubt that the restaurant is in a beautiful setting. The views across the valley are lovely.
