Hi, I had a spa manicure and pedicure today at Waitaha day spa. Although the manicure and pedicure by itself was ok, the polish/products used would have been bad for a cheep Asian shop, for a day spa and three times the price it was just ridiculous. With pedicure there was no top coat used at all I think, looked ok, 3 hours later touched the carpet (regular were) and it just sticked to it ... Hhmm yes, evidently not drying. That's not the worst. Manicure. First nail polish was just totally thick and leaving strips, another one same story and finally one that seemed ok. Yes, it was pretty thick. My manicurist added quite a bit of nail polish remover to it, right in front of me, said that it was sitting there for a while. Yes, you do know it costs $70 for manicure alone? Well, to top it all off she used 'Natio' base and top coat, bravo, salon quality here. As expected 2 hours later my nails were nowhere nearly dry. Massive disappointment - again. No more chances.
My husband and I visited Waitaha Spa a few times about 3 years ago. we booked a couples room, so hubby could have a massage, and I would have a facial. The first time was great....the second time, we turned up for our appointment only to be told we had 2 separate rooms. Hubby was whisked away...I waited nearly half an hour for my beautician to finally show. My hubby then had a really long wait for me, as I was half an hour late. We decided to book again, and double checked we would get a couples room....we were assured that we would. Arrived, only for me to be whisked away to my own room, and my hubby was kept waiting this time. We decided to spend our $400 elsewhere, as they never seemed to get it right. About 2 weeks ago I was walking last their window and noticed they did IPL treatments. I ...read more
My sisters and I all go to Waitaha for our beauty treatments and some pampering. We also buy each other vouchers for birthdays and Christmas. The staff are warm and friendly and they always do a great job. I'm having a course of peels at the moment and one of my sisters has endermologie for her cellulite. You relax as soon as you walk through the door at Waitaha and sitting with a pot of herbal tea (or wine!!!) after your treatment you never want to leave.
Waitaha Day Spa is a great place to relax and be pampered. The staff there are very friendly, and immediately put your mind at ease. You feel comfortable to just sit back and relax and let them do the hard work. It's a great place to get away from the chaos and stresses of work and kids.
