Walker's Doughnuts

Probably the most reasonably priced doughnut from a shop in Mel. Tastes like a standard American doughnut, which I very much appreciated. May not be gourmet like many of the other options around here, but they are bigger in size and have the right taste! The price is reasonable as well. Milkshakes seem to be really cheap, too, so that is what I'll try next!

Located on a popular corner near the train station. The doughnuts are piping hot and full of flavour. The texture is soft and moist and the customer service is quick.

Got the salted caramel with custard and a chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. Shared among 3 people. The custard was very fresh and light and went well with the caramel flavour. Cost about $7.15 for both.

I just love this small shop and the hotdogs and doughnuts that they have. Absolute favourite is the classic hot jam doughnuts, although there are so many different varieties from glazed, Chocolate, Banana Custard, Boston Cream, Noonie Fingers, Fancy Custard, Fancy Rings, Walker Weenies, Classic Melbourne Pineapple, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Caramel and much more you simply cant go wrong with the jam doughnuts. They are so fresh and taste even better when just taken from the frying pan. I had a few hotdogs here also in the past for something quick and cheap. A favourite is the Double-Bacon Hotdog, comes with ketchup, mustard, 2 bacon strips, shredded cheese, onions which will set you back around $6. Quite filling and pretty yummy! Ive never had an issue with their service here, have always been friendly. Wouldnt be bad to have a few tables/chairs but its a very tiny shop so understandable that there is just no space.
