I've used Walkers recently for my move from Sydney to Melbourne and I thoroughly regret that I did. They are good at making positive impression the first time but once you sign the contract, they don't seem to care about you. No communication whatsoever. I had to give multiple phone calls in order to get my cartons delivered. (You pay for the cartons but what they give you are some dodgy old boxes that are all falling apart.) The uplift was on Tuesday and my items were due to be delivered on Friday but they decided to deliver them on Monday saying something about "the train being late" - and they called me up on Thursday to tell me this. They gave me an excuse that they've tried to call me once earlier but I didn't answer but I would like to say that there are other modes of communication such as SMS and email - they had my email address so I can't see why they couldn't email me.They damaged my furniture and items and no apology. I was very surprised to see these negative reviews as these guys moved my parents from Croydon Park to Brisbane. they were more expensive than other quotes but their service from the first phone call was fabulous. We were very happy with the move and the whole experience and have already recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

I stored my 1BR unit contents with Walkers Moving and Storage Brisbane. It was not a happy experience: 90 mins late with no courtesy updates to let me know. Damaged my furniture (scraped almost every corner of my leather lounge suites, snapped a glass top off the table base, and scratched an entertainment unit). Massively inflated costs (Aug 2012 $490 quote for delivery from storage. This quote had a 12 mth life, but the price almost tripled in 18 mths to $1348 in Feb 2014. When I queried it I was told that it was a "typo" and the correct amount was $786 - still a big increase on $490.

The service provided by the management is very rude and inappropriate. It's unprofessional and indecent to use phases like "well what can be done now". I would not use their service again and would strongly suggest others to use a professional organisation who at least communicate well via the phone.
