I have received such wonderful support from the Ngurra Ngurra Refuge from when I was staying there in 2015, and after. They have continued their emotional support throughout stressful times and have attending court proceedings with me. No-one can fully understand the great need for such a service for shelter and emotional support for women ecsaping domestic violence. I am so greatful for their help that I am volunteering a few hours a week to help their great cause. Sadly the government fails to provide all the funding needed. The staff are all wonderful and they created such a safe environment for the women and children. My daughter loved it there and didn't want to leave. I am especially greatful to Liann, my support worker. Until people take responsibility to have healthy, respectful relationships, then they will always be needed.
