I run my own business and serviced three of my vehicles with them for the past year. Last Monday 5th, they serviced one of my trucks. Two days later I had diesel pouring out of the bleed system. On Friday it got even worse and truck almost didn't start (had to try about 10 times). It got so bad during the day that I had to hire a rental truck, drive an hour out West (each way) and swap trucks with the boys. I took it back to the workshop on Friday afternoon and spoke with Howard. First he mentioned it was something to do with the fuel hose. However, when Adam (mechanic) looked at it, he said it was the o-ring that had burst. He replaced the o-ring, I mentioned to Howard that I had serviced the truck on Monday (which he knew about) and had spent over $300 on truck hire, tools, fuel, not mentioning my time to drive an hour away and back. Howard didn't seem phased about that, said it was not their fault, just a 'big coincidence' and said to me and my partner ...read more
Have had many urgent issues with my vehicles/trucks over the years and Howard and the team have always made time to get my vehicles back on the road as fast as possible which is so important when your running a business. Their advice is 2nd to none when it comes to trucks, though I'm sure they're not perfect they've always done the right thing by us.
Had an issue with our clutch and took it to see Howard and Warringah Brake & Clutch. The car we have is an old beater and I wasn't looking forward to spending a lot of money trying to sort out the issue. Howard spend 10 minutes playing with the clutch, made a few adjustments and everything was sorted. I couldn't be happier and the service and people were great. I will definitely be going back for any further work I need to get done. Thanks!
Have to disagree with you there Steve, I had an experience similar to Ken. Went in to have a sticking caliper fixed, came back to find they'd replaced the rear discs and pads without so much as a phone call. I was intending to replace the rear discs and pads anyway, but not with the standard discs that Warringah Brake and Clutch fitted plus I was also going to change brake pad brand as the ones I had been using were very dusty. I had been intending to have slotted discs fitted. Picked my car up last thing on a Friday though and there was noone left in the workshop that I could talk to about this. If they'd have bothered to call me I could have told them the specs of the new gear that I wanted and I'd have been happy enough with the service, but no. I sold that car shortly after this so didn't bother following it up. This experience makes me wary of going back though.
Thats a shame, sorry for any inconveniance as I myself was unaware of this. Our workshop foreman has recently been replaced and I have personally made it clear to him that this is not to happen in the future. Thanks for your comments.
