Using very outdated training methods. Punishment through jerking the choker chain. Nothing in terms of praise and rewards.
Couldn't bear to go there any more, it would destroy my gentle dog.
I originally tried the "gentle modern method" or "positive reinforcement" but I got tired of having to take a bag of treats everywhere I went with my dog. Warringal helped me by introducting me to the correction chain. My dogs BOTH now run to have the choker put on. They love it. Sometimes the older methods are the best.
