Warringal Private Hospital

Having worked at major tertiary hospitals in Melbourne I had a terrible experience as a patient. Nursing quality on wards is variable, poor clinical handover between shifts, do not tailor to the needs of an individual.

Had a close family member stay for long haul and under difficult circumstances & the medical staff & careres were all amazing.

Been a patient there 4 times, and visited family members and close friends on 6 occasions. Facilities are good, but the nursing staff is a case of "luck of the draw".



I've had a nurse telling me off and treating me disrespectfully. Ringing the bell seemed futile. Long response times. Long waiting for pain relief. Staff were holding discussions in the corridor regarding private matters, while patients were waiting.



On another occasion I was treated like a princess by a different nurse who went out of her way to look after me.



Somebody needs to pull their socks up for them.

Had a day surgery procedure done and was not totally impressed. Rooms were clean and comfortable but communication was non existant. Had to wait some time for pain relief and assistance from staff. Maybe just an off day!
