Waterside Hotel

I've been an infrequent visitor to this pub, especially back in the days when I would come over to Melbourne for a weekend. However now that I live here I have found much better places to have a drink. This pub does have a history though, going back to the days when it was a pub frequented by sailors, however those days are long gone and it is now a more upper class establishment (though they don't have upper class prices). It certainly isn't my favourite pub because the atmosphere here is not really the type that I like, even though it does tend to be fairly quiet (most of the times I've been here it's been practically empty). It certainly isn't a bad establishment to have a drink, and it is never crowded, however it is not a place that I would regularly visit (even if I do make it down to that part of the city, which is not all that often).

A favourite meeting place when we have conferences in Melbourne. Good hearty pub meals and a old style pub atmosphere.

This city pub had a makeover a few years ago. The pub itself is nothing to write home about but the rooftop deck is sensational. The deck is a great spot for after work drinks or a lesiurely Friday lunch in summer.
