I'm reviewing Ajo!

Everything here is better than average,the food,the service,the ambience but not by much.

With a lot of positive reviews maybe my expectations were high but nothing we tried stood out. We liked what we had though and it's taste is better than average restaurant but no plans to come back to revisit soon

It's pretty warm and cosy inside. The staff member I dealt with was unpleasant. I had a burger that was very thick and dry. The bread roll were also dry, and didn't seem fresh.

After moving back to Balmain from 5 years interstate, we were looking forward to a drink at the Welcome upon our return. Unfortunately the experience was a little disappointing. Whilst the pub looks the same, its clearly changed hands - with only fancy boutique beers now available on tap. Although we enjoyed the sun in the back courtyard, I'm not in any rush to hurry back. Yet another traditional Balmain pub sadly gentrified for the yuppie market

My favorite local pub. On Anzac Day & St. Patricks this is by far my favorite pub in Sydney, but I show up here all year.

The food is consistently outstanding - I've sampled from both the bar and restaurant menu and have loved it (try the risoto, so yum.)

The staff is great. Imagine - a bartender that knows how to pour a beer? And makes a joke while doing so? In Sydney?

Really nice vibe at this place - hidden but welcoming with loads of character.

Went out for a few drinks on Saturday night with freinds and this is were we went. Has warmth, personality and a good energy about this place. This is the first time at this pub. Hopefully wouldn't be the last. The only draw back about the place was my dinner. It was on the small size and abit on the dear side. That aside is a good place to have a few drinks and a catch up with friends.
