According to Well & Good, "quality is our main ingredient". I just used a packet of Well & Good chocolate cake mix and was horrified to discover that sugar is in fact the main ingredient. Yes, number one. The mix is a third sugar. You can see it catch the light as you pour it out.
It's great that the company is producing foods for those with allergies, but seriously, is sugar the best substitute for gluten, dairy etc? The cake had a good texture and consistency, but it really didn't need that much sugar to be tasty and indulgent. I found it sickly. Please just cut it down a bit!
