Werndee offers cottage accommodation in the grounds of a Federation mansion in Mount Stuart, Hobart. Mount Stuart is a five-minute drive from Hobart’s central business district.The self-contained, modern cottage is located among the gardens of Werndee, an historic Hobart house built in the early 20th century. The apartment sleeps up to three people in a queen bedroom, with the option of a fold out bed in the spacious livingroom for a third person, and has a fully equipped kitchen. Guests are invited to pick their own herbs and citrus fruit from the garden that has been established on an old basketball court. Werndee is a short walk to North Hobart restaurants, cafes and bars. You can browse through art galleries or visit the art house State Cinema – Tasmania's oldest operating movie house. Take the five-minute drive into central Hobart, visit the Saturday Salamanca Market, drive to the summit of Mount Wellington or cruise on the Derwent River.
